Children’s privacy

Family Out Loud is meant for families to use together. A parent or caregiver should hold the account.

We do not ask children to create their own accounts. We do not ask children for extra personal details. Names in stories are fictional characters.

If a signed-in family sends a help message that includes a child’s name, we use that message only to answer inside the family account.

Parents can ask us to remove an account. Use Delete account or send a help request that says you want the account removed.

Parent confirmation is required for some safety and account actions so children cannot change protected settings by accident.
